EONS Executive Board elections 2019

In accordance with the Constitution of the European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS), nominations have been sought from the full membership (members of an EONS National Oncology Nursing Society or EONS individual members) for three Executive Board roles. The roles are:

  • President-Elect (1)
  • Board Member (2)

Of the 2 Board members, one will be a Young Cancer Nurse (max. age 34 years, one term of two years max.)

Nominations are now closed. We would like to inform our membership that 9 nominations were received and that voting is now open. The nominations are:

President-Elect:

Board Member:

  • Rosario Caruso (Italy)
  • Gaby Knötgen (Germany)
  • Sulosaari Virpi (Finland)

Board Member Young Cancer Nurse:

  • Laura Bascuñana Sánchez (Spain)
  • Silvia Belloni (Italy)
  • Amanda Drury (Ireland)
  • Kathell Geraghty (Ireland)
  • Malin Viklander (Sweden)

EONS full members have now been invited by email to submit their votes.

Please note only individual members and National Oncology Nursing Societies that have paid their April- December 2019 membership fee are eligible to vote. Please make sure to check your membership is still active or to pay the relevant membership fee before the voting deadline of June in case you want to submit your vote(s).

The number of votes per member is defined in the Constitution.

Individual members each have one vote for each vacant Board seat.

Votes must reach the EONS Secretariat by email or post by 9.00 CET Wednesday 12 June 2019.

We encourage every full member to actively engage in Society business by responding to this invitation.

Results of the second round of elections to EONS Executive Board

As a result of the voting process, Johan de Munter has been elected as a new EONS Board member.

EONS wholeheartedly congratulates Johan and looks forward to welcoming him to future Executive Board meetings.

The election results will now move forward to the EONS General Meeting for member approval. This will take place on Sunday morning 19 November from 09.10-10.30, before the EONS Advisory Council meeting/ Leadership Summit in Ede, the Netherlands.

Four nominations were received for the Board member role:

  • Carole Farrell (UK)
  • Eugenia Trigoso (Spain)
  • Virpi Sulosaari (Finland)

First election round EONS Executive Board: results now available!

The deadline for EONS full members to submit votes to fill two positions (President-Elect and Board member) on the EONS Executive Board was 22 June 2017.

Andreas Charalambous has been elected as EONS President-Elect and Wendy Oldenmenger has been elected as EONS Board Member.

The election results will now move forward to the EONS General Meeting for member approval. This meeting is scheduled to take place on the morning of Sunday 19 November, before the EONS Advisory Council meeting/Leadership Summit in Ede, The Netherlands. (The exact time of the meeting will be communicated in due course.)

EONS EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTIONS 2015

The second EONS Board election of 2015 was to elect a new Board member with responsibility for Education. Voting closed in August 2015.

This election result has been approved by the EONS membership at the EONS General Meeting (Saturday 26 September) during ECC 2015 in Vienna.

First election of 2015: results

The first EONS Board election of 2015 was to elect a new President-Elect and Board Secretary. Voting took place in May and June 2015.
