Clinical travel grant 2010

Aim

To support nurses who are working in oncology to obtain clinical experience by visiting another cancer centre/unit.

Description

The EONS clinical travel bursary is awarded towards costs incurred (clinical site fee, travel, accommodation and expenses) by the successful applicant during the clinical site visit. The applicant is responsible for organising their clinical site visit. The clinical site visit must be a minimum of one week in duration.

Clinical travel grant 2010

The European Oncology Nursing Society is pleased to announce that Mrs. Mette Amundsen and Mrs. Sevcan Atay are the recipients of the Clinical Travel Grant 2010.

Mrs. Amundsen is a leading oncology nurse at the Vestfold County Hospital Breast Center, Tønsberg, Norway. She will do a two weeks visit at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Breast Service, Department of Surgery, New York, USA.

Dr. Sevcan Atay is a patient education nurse at the Hacetteppe universitesi Onkoloji Hastanesi, Ankara, Turkey. She will do a 4 weeks visit at the University Hospital of Birmingham, UK.

Clinical travel grant 2009

Mrs. Alessandri Milani was the recipient of the 2009 Clinical Travel Grant. Mrs. Milani is a Research Nurse at the Patient Care Service, Institute of Oncology, Milan, Italy. She did a three weeks visit at the Trento’s Teaching Hospital, dep. Oncology, Italy. Mrs. Milani reported about her site visit during the EONS General Meeting at the EONS 7 Spring Convention, The Hague, The Netherlands, 16 April 2010, which is included in the presentation of this meeting.
