EONS Mentoring Research Grant Programme
The EONS Mentoring Research Grant Programme was established to support oncology nurses who were inexperienced researchers, to work with a more experienced oncology nurse researcher.
This small research grant was offered to enable the winner to establish a project, conduct a substantial literature review and prepare a full project proposal, undertake a visit to establish a project proposal, or to conduct a study with the support of the mentor.
The grant was intended for a one-year project and included the total sum of up to EUR 20,000 plus free registration for one researcher to attend the European Cancer Congress or the EONS Spring Convention. Our last winner (in 2008) was Amanda Shewbridge of Guys’ and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK.
