British journalists win first prize for cancer journalism

British journalists Mark Henderson and Victoria Lambert have won joint first prize in the Best Cancer Reporter Award 2011. The award was established by the European School of Oncology (ESO) to encourage excellence in cancer journalism. Henderson is Science Editor at The Times and Lambert is a freelance health reporter who writes for various leading British newspapers. Henderson and Lambert will each receive a prize of €7,500 and an example of their work will be reprinted in ESO’s magazine Cancer World (www.cancerworld.org)
