Energy reduction device can be retrofitted to hospital equipment

The UK's Centre for Sustainable Healthcare has trialled a device called a heat exchanger and established that this can be used to save energy in the use of hospital equipment. The study found that the device can be fitted to existing haemodialysis machines and makes for an average 18% increase in energy efficiency.
