Complex relationship between fibre and bowel cancer

Researchers from the Netherlands and the UK have found that increasing fibre intake helps to prevent colorectal cancer. However, other research suggests that fruit and vegetable fibre makes little difference to the risk. Cancer Research UK is now calling for more research on which types of fibre do make a difference.
