Does asthma cause lung cancer?
Wednesday 1 February 2012
A meta-analysis of published studies seeks to establish if there is a link between asthma and lung cancer. The research found that lung cancer risk was greater in patients with asthma, but significant covariates make the picture much less clear. The researchers could not establish a causal link and also found that the association between asthma and lung cancer was much weaker in people who have never smoked.
