Donors: reluctant to talk about giving

People are often reluctant to talk about their charitable giving. Is that because discussing money isn't polite? Or are they afraid of being judged? Plum Lomax of New Philanthropy Capital suggests that in a non-judgemental environment, donors are much more happy to talk about their donations to charities.
