Cross-border health directive in place
Added: Wednesday 18 December 2013
The Directive on Patients' Rights in Cross-Border Healthcare should now
have been adopted into the national law of every EU member country. This
means that all patients have the right to go to another EU country for
treatment and be reimbursed for it. Among other things, this should mean
easier recognition of prescriptions across borders.
