Experts are warning that bladder cancer is often missed in women because the symptoms are so similar to a urinary infection. This may explain why bladder cancer survival rates for women are lower than those for men, despite the fact that men are more likely to get it. The researchers urge women to checking for blood in their urine and always see a doctor promptly if this is present.
