Call for applications – EONS Education Working Group
Added: Saturday 1 September 2018
Have you thought of joining and becoming actively involved in the European Oncology Nursing Society’s (EONS) Education Working Group?
The Working Group has three vacancies, starting from January 2019. We would particularly value receiving applications from people who have a passion for supporting the learning of cancer nurses and a sound understanding of the delivery of education, which is relevant to current clinical practice.
Should you be interested in joining the Working Group, please submit your CV and motivational letter addressed to Dr Rebecca Verity and/or Mr Harald Titzer, Chairs of the Working Group, to Mariska Mooijekind, EONS Working Group Manager at: email@example.com.
The deadline for applications is Friday, 26 October 2018. All applicants will be informed by the end of November, at the latest.
The work of the group is mainly conducted through electronic communications. Additionally the group meets (at least) once a year for a face-to-face meeting to enhance connections and discuss strategic matters for this group’s development.
The Education Working Group is responsible for monitoring and reporting to the EONS Executive Board on the activities delivered by the Task Groups under its area of expertise.
A key part of the work of EONS Education Working Group is helping cancer nurses across Europe develop their professional skills and knowledge. EONS achieves this in a variety of ways:
- Educational Projects
- Endorsement of courses and events
- e-Grandrounds (in collaboration with ESO)
- Masterclasses (in collaboration with ESO)
- Providing other educations resources
We are hoping to continue to have a wide and varied membership so that we can accurately and equally represent the views of EONS cancer nurses from all throughout Europe. The “East-West-North-South” principle makes this possible.
