Addressing Cancer Disparities in Central and Eastern Europe: request for proposals
The Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation’s BRIDGING CANCER CARE initiative has announced a Request for Proposals (RFP) for projects addressing cancer disparities in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Russia. Closing date will be June 8 2010.The Foundation will award five two-year grants of up to $ 150.000 USD each to support innovative and sustainable projects.

Training Fellowship available for one month of training in a European Breast Unit
The European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists, the European Society of Surgical Oncology, the European School of Oncology and the European Oncology Nursing Society are pleased to announce their Training Project on "The multidisciplinary approach in Breast Cancer Care". The European students Union (ESU) supports proposal for European database on reliable higher education institutions
We welcome the EU Commission’s proposal for a European database on HEI’s, as an essential step towards providing more information for students who wish to be mobile. EANO educational travel grant for nurses
The European Association of Neurooncology invites trained nurses to apply for an educational travel grant to visit a centre committed to the care of patients with Neuro-oncological illness to experience the procedures of a centre or attend to a course or a conference dedicated to Neuro-Oncology.

Increased social cohesion, education and training systems to secure Europe's future 1/10/2009
On 30 September 2009, t he EESC plenary session debated employment and vocational training in the context of the financial crisis and endorsed a long term recovery framework.
