EU crackdown on fake medicines

The EU Council has formally adopted legislation that introduces pan-European safety and control measures for medicines. The aim is to make it easier to identify falsified medicines before they can reach patients. The Directive also introduces a logo for legal online pharmacies, to make it easier for patients to tell the difference between these and illegal pharmacy sites.
