Rare diseases: report on pilot European Reference Networks

The EU recently carried out a study on European Reference Networks for rare diseases. These networks are intended to link up centres of expertise in the field of rare diseases. Knowledge-sharing between centres of expertise has proved to be a very efficient approach to dealing with rare diseases in Europe. The report gives more information about how networks enable centres to improve standards of both research and patient care.
