European diabetes and cancer experts collaborate

The European Multidisciplinary Cancer Congress included joint symposia on diabetes and cancer, part of an ongoing collaboration between European experts in the fields of cancer and diabetes. It has long been known that Type 2 diabetes is associated with increased risk of certain types of cancer, but more recently it also emerged that there may be a link between diabetes treatments such as glargine and increased cancer risk.
