Left-sided radiotherapy linked to cardiovascular stenosis

A Swedish study shows that breast cancer patients receiving radiotherapy to the left side of the chest presented increased coronary artery stenosis in the left anterior descending artery. This research clarifies the importance of taking into account which side of the body is receiving radiation when estimating cardiovascular risk to the patient.
