Clinical practice guidelines in cancer treatment
Chemotherapy-induced complications
Recently, both the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) and the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer/International Society of Oral Oncology (MASCC/ISOO) updated important clinical guidelines in the treatment of chemotherapy-associated complications, such as anaemia, neutropenia and oral mucositis.
To aid nurses in their understanding of these new guidelines, EONS has developed this comprehensive Guidelines Implementation Toolkit. The toolkit aims to provide a practical guide to understanding and implementing the new guidelines in day-to-day clinical practice.
Extravasation
In the interest of keeping nurses up to date, EONS put together a work group to consolidate much of the existing knowledge on extravasation of cancer therapies. The result of the group’s efforts is the Extravasation guidelines 2007 in the same interactive format as the previous modules.
