Online course - side effects of radiotherapy

Radiotherapy is an important treatment modality in the management of cancer. Over 60% of individuals receive the therapy either as part of curative treatment or as a part of palliative therapy.

To support nurses in dealing with the side effects of radiotherapy, EONS launched a new online course on this topic in September 2010.

This pilot course really hit the target and the large number of applications showed there is really a need for this kind of educational opportunity.

A second course was completed in May 2011, and a third course started in November 2011.

The course will run for 10 weeks and will require about 3-4 hours study per week.

Applications for this course are now closed and applicants have been informed.
