EONS launched the first ever European Cancer Nursing Day (ECND) on 18 May 2017. The day was an enormous success and involved cancer nurses all over Europe and beyond. EONS members and National Societies celebrated the day by tweeting and sending in wonderful pictures. The event will be held every year to recognise and celebrate the positive impact that oncology nurses have on the quality of oncology care across Europe. This year’s theme was advocacy. ECND is part of the Recognising European Cancer Nursing (RECaN) project led by EONS and supported by the European CanCer Organisation (ECCO). We would like to thank everyone for their fantastic support! Take a look at the special ECND website at

Biological medicines
More than 150 stakeholders shared their clinical experiences and best practice in biological medicines, including biosimilars, in Brussels on 5 May. This important event was attended by EONS Advocacy Working Group Chair Patrick Crombez and group member Johan de Munter.
