Research

EONS supports a range of research projects to ensure that the practice of European cancer nurses is informed by the most rigorous and up to date and evidence available.

EONS aims to ensure that the profile of oncology nursing research is increased throughout Europe and encourages practitioners to become researchers with support in funding, mentoring, publication and dissemination of results.

The Society's current research priorities are:

1. The development and evaluation of clinical guidelines and care pathways
2. Symptom management
3. Psychooncology
4. Nurses role in new treatments
5. Multidisciplinary collaboration/teamwork
6. Educating new nurses
7. Promoting the work of oncology nurses

EONS has an official journal, the European Journal of Oncology Nursing (EJON), which is published five times a year.
