No need to screen healthy women for ovarian cancer

Research from the USA suggests that there is no need to screen healthy women for ovarian cancer unless they have known genetic mutations that could increase cancer risk. The researchers found that annual screening did not significantly reduce the number of deaths from ovarian cancer in US women, but did reveal a high rate of false-positive results in asymptomatic women.
