MASCC/ISOO 2016 announced

Added: Monday 5 October 2015

The 2016 joint meeting of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) and the International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO) will be held in Adelaide, Australia, June 23-25.

This will be MASCC’s 25th Annual Meeting and the 30th anniversary of ISOO. Looking forward to the next 25 years, the theme of the meeting will be “A Future with Supportive Care for All.” The meeting will include an exciting program of scientific papers, workshops, poster presentations, discussions, and debates on treatments and the management of treatment-induced side effects. Topics will include GI toxicities, psycho-oncology, survivorship, communication, and disparities in supportive care. There will be a special Cancer Nurse Practitioner Workshop and a Patient Seminar in which patients can meet and discuss supportive care needs with oncology experts.

The 2016 Annual Meeting will be the first to be held in Australasia. This will make it easier for participants from Australia, New Zealand, India, Southeast Asia, and the Western Pacific to attend. The meeting will provide a unique opportunity to hear from expert clinicians and researchers in cancer supportive care and to network and share your own insights on an international level. Dorothy Keefe and Ian Olver, who are chairing the meeting, extend a warm welcome and invite you to join them in Adelaide.
