e-sessions: free online learning for nurses

The European School of Oncology (ESO) has pioneered the concept of live online sessions for cancer professionals. These e-sessions include debates, conference highlights, teaching sessions and more.

The teaching sessions are known as grandrounds. These are:

  • a chance to hear live from an expert in your field
  • a chance to ask questions live
  • often CME accredited.

Some e-sessions are hosted in collaboration with EONS, and these tend to be of great relevance to your nursing practice.

To access ESO’s e-sessions, you will first need to register with the e-ESO website and check your computer and browser meets the minimum system requirements. You can submit questions in advance of the session, ask them directly during the session or (in some cases) contact the expert afterwards.

If you miss an e-session, you can catch up later by watching a recording. Recordings of all e-sessions are available for 12 months after broadcast. The e-ESO site has an extensive archive of recorded sessions from the past year, all available for free.
