Call for Applications – EONS-ESO Clinical Fellowship for Cancer Nurses

EONS in collaboration with the European School of Oncology (ESO), invites applications for the 2027 ESO-EONS Clinical Fellowship for Cancer Nurses.
Designed to support excellence in cancer nursing and multidisciplinary care, the programme offers cancer nurses the opportunity to undertake a structured clinical training placement in a leading European cancer centre.
During the fellowship, participants will enhance their clinical and practical skills, gain insight into the organisation and management of modern cancer units, and exchange knowledge with multidisciplinary teams from across Europe.
By encouraging professional mobility and collaboration, the programme aims to contribute to the standardisation and continuous improvement of cancer care outcomes across countries and regions.
Fellowship Format
- Duration: One month
- Grant: EUR 2,500 (gross)
- Accommodation: Not provided – to be arranged by the trainee
Educational Experience
As a fellow, you will:
- Become an integrated member of the cancer care team
- Observe a variety of services including wards, follow-up clinics, nurse-led services, clinical trial units, oncology emergencies, palliative/supportive care, and treatment units (chemotherapy, radiotherapy)
- Receive mentoring and supervision, with regular progress meetings
- Tailor the programme to specific disease areas or specialties, depending on the hosting centre
Eligibility
- Registered nurses with experience and interest in cancer nursing.
- Applicants must demonstrate motivation to enhance their clinical knowledge and contribute to cancer care in their home country.
