Call for Applications – ESO-EONS Clinical Fellowship for Cancer Nurses
EONS in collaboration with the European School of Oncology (ESO), invites applications for the 2026 ESO-EONS Clinical Fellowship for Cancer Nurses.
This programme offers cancer nurses the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure and structured education in leading European cancer centres. By the end of the fellowship, candidates are expected to have significantly strengthened their knowledge and skills in cancer nursing, while also gaining valuable insight into the multidisciplinary functioning of a successful Cancer Unit.

Fellowship Format
- Duration: 1 month
- Grant: EUR 2,500 (gross)
- Accommodation: Not provided – to be arranged by the trainee
Educational Experience
As a fellow, you will:
- Become an integrated member of the cancer care team
- Observe a variety of services including wards, follow-up clinics, nurse-led services, clinical trial units, oncology emergencies, palliative/supportive care, and treatment units (chemotherapy, radiotherapy)
- Receive mentoring and supervision, with regular progress meetings
- Tailor the programme to specific disease areas or specialties, depending on the hosting centre
Eligibility
- Registered nurses with experience and interest in cancer nursing
- Applicants must demonstrate motivation to enhance their clinical knowledge and contribute to cancer care in their home country
