EONS is pleased to announce the opening of the Call for Nominations for the EONS Board Elections 2026.
EONS invites Full Members (Individual Members and National Societies) to nominate experienced and committed oncology nurses to contribute to the Society’s leadership, strategic direction, and advocacy work at European level.
Key Dates
- Call for nominations opens: 19 January 2026
- Deadline for submission: 16 February 2026 at 12:00 CET (noon)
Late or incomplete nominations will not be accepted. In the event that no candidates meeting the eligibility criteria are identified, the call may be extended.
Available Board Positions
Nominations are invited for the following EONS Board positions:
- President-Elect
- Board Treasurer
- Board Secretary
- Member-at-Large for Advocacy
- Member-at-Large for Eastern European Nurses
All Board positions include core governance responsibilities, as well as role-specific duties supporting EONS’s work in leadership, strategy, advocacy, education, research, and financial oversight.
Eligibility and Nomination Requirements
To be considered valid, nominations must meet the following requirements:
- Nominations must be submitted by EONS Full Members
- Each nominee must receive a minimum of two endorsements
- Both the nominee and the proposer must be EONS members (Individual or National Society)
- Proof of membership must be provided as part of the nomination process
- Proposers must confirm the nominee’s availability prior to submission
- Electronic signatures are accepted
- Only fully completed nominations will be reviewed
