What an inspiring start to EONS18, the EONS Conference held within the ESMO Congress 2025 in Berlin!
Under the theme “Compassionate Care in Cancer Nursing: Bridging the Gap Between Science and Humanity”, the first day of EONS18 brought together cancer nurses, researchers, educators, and healthcare professionals from across Europe and beyond to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and explore the latest innovations in oncology nursing.
The day opened with a warm welcome from EONS President Helena Ullgren, followed by thought-provoking presentations on nursing professionalisation, digital innovation, and artificial intelligence in cancer care. Sessions also covered essential topics such as supportive care, symptom management, integrative oncology, and the importance of collaboration in advancing patient outcomes.
Participants were inspired by engaging discussions, interactive sessions, and evidence-based insights that underscored the central role of cancer nurses in shaping the future of compassionate, person-centred cancer care.
