EONS is proud to be a partner in the DigiCanTrain project, a transformative initiative aimed at equipping healthcare professionals (HCPs) in oncology with vital digital skills.
The DigiCanTrain project, led by Turku University of Applied Sciences. The project group is led by Virpi Sulosaari, PhD, RN, Principal lecturer at Turku University of Applied Sciences.

Goals:
The DigiCanTrain project focuses on up-skilling and re-skilling the healthcare workforce in cancer care by:
- Supporting the development of effective, person-centred healthcare.
- Enhancing digital cancer care services.
- Promoting the use of contemporary eHealth technology among clinical and non-clinical HCPs.
EONS’s Role in DigiCanTrain
EONS plays a critical role in this initiative by:
- Representing the voice of oncology nurses across Europe.
- Contributing expertise in nursing education and digital transformation.
- Participating in the design and piloting of the training programme to address the needs of oncology nurses and other HCPs.
EONS President, Johan De Munter, and Project Officer, Irena Rollo, actively participated in the project's kick-off meeting held in Turku, Finland. The meeting focused on collaboration, setting objectives, and defining deliverables and milestones.

The DigiCanTrain e-learning programme is designed for oncology healthcare professionals looking to enhance their digital skills and stay at the forefront of digital health interventions in oncology.
