The EONS Communication Working Group is pleased to introduce Good News Stories, a new initiative designed to showcase inspiring examples of cancer nursing practice, innovation, collaboration, and patient-centred care from across Europe. Through sharing these stories, we aim to strengthen our community, celebrate achievements, and increase the visibility of the important work being led by cancer nurses every day.
Through this initiative, EONS National Societies are invited to share stories that showcase achievements, innovative projects, collaborations, educational activities, advocacy efforts, patient-centred care, and examples of best practice. The goal is to create a platform where cancer nurses can learn from one another, celebrate success, and increase the visibility of impactful work taking place across the profession.
The submission form is now available, allowing societies to submit stories throughout the summer. Reviews of submitted stories will begin in September 2026, after which selected stories may be featured in EONS newsletters, on the EONS website, and across EONS social media channels.
Good News Stories reflects EONS' commitment to strengthening the cancer nursing community by sharing knowledge, inspiration, and practical examples of excellence in cancer care.
We encourage all National Societies to participate and help showcase the remarkable contributions of oncology nurses across Europe.
