The European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS) Early Career Nurses (ECN) Working Group recently hosted a webinar focused on genomics and precision medicine in cancer care, bringing together clinical and nursing perspectives on the integration of genomic testing into everyday practice.
The webinar explored key concepts such as next-generation sequencing and biomarker-driven treatment, while emphasising the vital role of nurses in supporting genomic literacy, informed decision-making, and equitable access to personalised cancer care.
The webinar featured expert contributions from Debora Bruno, medical oncologist specialising in thoracic malignancies, and Celia Díez de los Ríos de la Serna, oncology nurse practitioner and researcher, and was hosted by Nuria Aguado Machancoses, member of the EONS Early Career Nurses Working Group.
